BMW Profil :

BMW was founded in 1917 in Germany in the region of “Bavaria”. Its logo represents the Bavarian flag. BMW is one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world with 1, 5 million sales internationally in 2010. Indeed BMW is among the ten largest car makers. Its two other main brands are Mini and Rolls-Royce. The core activity of BMW is to produce cars but they sell motorcycle as well and are present in the financial services too.

All the three brands BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce are in their category considered as premium in the automotive market with their own specific segment. The BMW group is focusing on high efficiency, innovation and design.

Mercedes-Benz Profil:

Mercedes-Benz was set up in 1926. Its logo represents a star showing the direction of the earth the sea and of the air as it is the way that Gottlieb Daimler wanted to use its motors at the origin. Carl Benz was the founder of the company Benz & Co and merged its activity with the firm of Gottlieb Daimler, Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft in 1926. Carl Benz invented the first ever car in 1886 and defined the brand by this sentence: "The love of inventing never dies." The group sold 123 358 cars only for the month of September 2012 worldwide speaking. On the premium segment in September 2012 BMW overrun Mercedes in terms of unit sold. That put Mercedes in third position between BMW Audi and Mercedes.

Audi Profil:

Audi was created in 1909 and is currently own by the Volkswagen group since 1964. In 2010 Audi sold 1 150 018 cars in over 100 countries around the world making it the best ever sales records for the company. The word Audi is a mix between a Latin word meaning “to hear” and the name of the founder August Horch. It is positioned as a sportive brand.

Moreover Audi’s sales increased up to 13, 6% against 14, 6 % for BMW, placing Audi in second position between Mercedes BMW and Audi
